Bottoms Up Snorkeling

Bottoms Up Snorkeling visits Hens and Chickens and Cheeca Rocks, both very beautiful reefs. The trips are 2 hours in duration. The boat departs daily at 9:00,11:30, 2:00 and 4:30. During the summer only, they offer a 6:30pm sunset cruise. The sunset cruise is a relaxing 2 hour trip that includes champagne. They depart the dock listening to cool music and you can enjoy the scenery as you journey to the bayside. Bring your cameras to capture a glorious Florida Keys sunset! Crane Point Museum & Nature Center

The Museum of Natural History provides visitors with interesting and educational interpretative displays of local wildlife, marine life, dioramas and dramatic exhibits featuring artifacts and objects of cultural interest. Crane Point’s Nature Trails allow visitors to explore numerous trails, some quite rugged, throughout the 63-acre property. We want you to experience the natural Florida Keys hardwood hammock. Learn to identify the hammock trees, native flowers and plants, insects and golden orb and crab spiders. Don’t miss the Adderley House, the oldest house in Monroe County outside Key West built in 1903 by George and Olivia Adderley. Appreciate the Crane House near the Point, built in 1953 by Francis and Mary Crane, for whom Crane Point is named. And let the view from The Point take your breath away as you gaze over the Florida Bay. The complete trail is 1.5 miles not including all the interesting side trips on the more challenging trails. Please ask about the trolley tours, included in the admission price, for those who may not be able or willing to take the walk. Our trolley drivers offer a wealth of information; they are friendly and ready to answer questions and make the ride fun. All trolley drivers are volunteers and do this because they love Crane Point and enjoy meeting and talking with people from all over the world. Be sure to walk through the Marathon Wild Bird Center and see Florida Keys and migrating wild birds at this rescue center. Sick and injured birds are brought here to be rescued, rehabilitated and released whenever possible.

Dolphins Plus – Oceanside and Bayside

Florida Keys Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center, Inc.

A Wild Bird Rescue and Rehabilitation Center and a Sanctuary/Visitor Center. The Sanctuary / Visitor Center location is 93600 Overseas Highway (Bayside). The Hospital location (for dropping off injured birds) is 93997 Overseas Hwy, (Oceanside). Please visit us 7 days a week, sunrise to sunset, and walk through the Laura Quinn Wild Bird Sanctuary to the open water of Florida Bay where you’ll see many of our permanent residents along with free-flying birds of many species. The FKWBC is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) wild bird rescue, rehabilitation and educational facility that relies entirely on the generosity of both public and private donations. Volunteerism and donations gratefully accepted.

Founders Park

Park entry fee for tourists is $8.00 per adult and $5.00 for youth (3-17) & Seniors (65+) $5.00 or show Islamorada hotel/resort guest pass for free park admission. Park features heated olympic swimming pool, public beach, tennis, marina, fitness and walking trails, dog park, basketball court, soccer and multi-use fields, baseball and softball fields, and an amphitheater. We offer a 2 hour Snorkel trip to Cheeca Rocks, Hens and Chickens, and the beautiful clear turquoise water that surrounds Islamorada. Keys History & Discovery Center

The Discovery Center is developing exhibits incorporating a combination of static displays and interactive media, delving into first Florida Keys inhabitants; shipwrecks and salvage; Keys pioneering families; sportfishing legends and Henry Flagler's Florida Keys Over-Sea Railroad. In addition, traveling exhibits are already being presented that reflect upon nature, art or history of the Keys. Hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays. Admission: $12 per adult, $10 for seniors. Children age 13 and under admitted free. The Discovery Center is located at the Islander Resort, a Guy Harvey Outpost.

Morada Way Arts & Cultural District

A not-for-profit organization that sponsors the Morada Way Arts and Cultural District’s Third Thursday Walkabout, which is held every month on the third Thursday in Islamorada. Locals and tourists alike benefit from the monthly Third Thursday Walkabouts, as they promote business and add culture and entertainment to the area. It is a fun three hours from 6-9pm. Enjoy sunset – a wonderful monthly arts and cultural celebration in the Heart of Islamorada. Artists, sculptors, jewelers, photographers, and an ever-growing field of stimulating art and artists are available to the participants. Events will include artist receptions, music and other activities. Gallery Morada, Pasta Pantaleo Signature Gallery, Redbone Gallery, Matecumbe Studio Gallery, and Blue Water Potter are the hosts of the Third Thursday Walkabout. It is the place to be on Thursday nights in Islamorada. Morada Way Arts and Culture District also has a large juried art show in January each year.
